Vinayaga Education college, a unit of Vinayaga Group of Educational Institutions run by MACAM Educational and Rural Development Charitable Educational Trust, offers programs of B.Ed., M.Ed degrees. It is a co-educational institution started in the year 2008 to make, efficient teachers for society. It has been approved by the NCTE in reference to FTN / ELE / SRO/NCTE 2005-2006 dated 04.03.2006. The course Diploma in Elementary Education was started in the year 2005-2006. Library. A big and spacious library is set up with more than 65000 valuable books of Art, Science, Psychology, Education, Religion, General Knowledge, and periodicals like daily, weekly, fort rightly, and monthly are available to cater to the needs of the students, staff, and others.

The second graduation day ceremony was held on 24.12.2011 at the college campus. Dr. M. Jayakumar, Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Education University, Chennai, awarded the degrees to M.Ed./B.Ed. pupils.
A state-level seminar on “Role of Higher Education Institutions in Pollution Control” was conducted on 27.11.2011 at the college campus.
A national-level seminar on “The Present Day Scenario of Medium of Learning in Education” was conducted on 21st & 22nd January 2012 at the college campus.
An international-level colloquium on “Constructivist Approach of Learning” was organized on 27.02.2012 at the college campus.
T. Muruganathan, B.Ed., a pupil of the first B.Ed batch (2008-2009), scored STATE FIRST and received a GOLD MEDAL from the Chief Guest, SRM University Chancellor Thiru. Dr. T.R. Pachamuthu.
A Marathon Race to support World Peace was conducted from Ariyalur to the college campus.
An awareness camp on “CITIZENSHIP TRAINING” was conducted at SENNIVANAM between 6th and 8th September 2010.
